Unity Candles by Beverly Clark
The Unity Candle Ceremony
Over the past few years, the unity candle ceremony has become popular as a wonderful symbolic representation of the joining of two lives and two families. Typically there is a central unity candle with two taper candles on either side. In the ceremony, the taper candles are first lit by either the couple individually or by close family members such as the parents. The couple will then each take a taper candle and light the larger candle together to symbolize the union of two hearts and lives.
Unity Candles and Candleholders
